Do you have a company that is registered with the state of Louisiana?

If no:

Go to the GeauxBiz.com on the Louisiana Secretary of State's website http://www.sos.louisiana.gov/tabid/98/Default.aspx for information on forming a company and determining required licenses and permits. 

After forming a company, consider the checklist below.

If yes:

• Are you in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State? 

  • Search website 

• Do you have a federal Tax ID number?

• Have you paid state and federal taxes?

• Are your financial records up to date?

• Do you need help with financing/mobilization funds? 

  • How much cash/credit will you need?

  • Have you identified potential sources of capital and how to access them?
